About Me

I’m Stephanie Wells, a Carlsbad resident, mom, community advocate, and Democratic organizer.

I started Stephanie’s List because I believe local elections matter deeply, and voters deserve clear, accessible information about the candidates and issues shaping our communities.

My advocacy is rooted in protecting public education, supporting teachers and students, defending LGBTQ+ rights, preventing gun violence, advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and safeguarding reproductive freedom.

Over the years, I’ve worked alongside parents, students, educators, and community members to support ethnic studies and DEIB programs in Carlsbad schools. As a gun violence survivor, I’ve also led efforts to advance secure firearm storage resolutions in North County school districts and helped organize hundreds of volunteers in support of gun violence prevention legislation.

Stephanie’s List is my way of helping people stay informed, get involved, and vote with confidence, especially in the local races that do not always get the attention they deserve.

Because the decisions made in our school districts, city councils, county offices, and local boards directly impact our families, our rights, and our future.

Elected ADEM Delegate

Thank you for electing me as an Assembly District Delegate.

I ran because I believe grassroots organizing matters, and local voices deserve a real seat at the table in shaping the future of the California Democratic Party.

As a delegate, I will vote on endorsements, ballot propositions, and the party platform. I see this role as a way to connect the work happening in our communities with the broader statewide movement for progressive change.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and will continue working to support candidates, policies, and campaigns that reflect our shared Democratic values.
